There are and have been lots of women tech CEOs:
Ginny Rometti, IBM
Claire Boonstra, Layar
Kim Polese, Marimba (Kim was project manager for Java... crucial in the development of the Web)
Gina Bianchini, Ning (now Mightybell)
Caterina Fake, founder of Flickr
Carol Bartz, former Yahoo CEO
Meg Whitman, CEO HP (formerly eBay)

Do we need more girls in tech? Sure. But it's misleading to suggest there have been no female tech CEOs.
